Hello, and thank you for taking the time to read my bio.
I began my photography career 6 years ago while I was playing professional hockey in Southern Germany. With extra time on my hands I studied photography in Europe. In the off-season I worked as an assistant under Jim Korchinski. Eventually fate intervened and I had to make a choice – Play hockey or pursue a career in photography. Since then I have never looked back.
I have gained vast experience in the following areas of photography: commercial portrait photography , commercial product photography, editorial photography, travel photography, industrial photography, aerial photography and annual report photography.
Several images from my travel photography portfolio have been featured in several travel publications as well as have been purchased from many Tourism Boards from several countries including: Taiwan, Belize, Thailand, Germany, Austria, Guatemala, West Indies, Jamaica, Puerto Rico, Mexico and the list goes on…
My true passion however lies in portrait photography and editorial photography. I have been fortunate enough to be given the privilege to shoot some key Edmontonians and Albertans such as: Premier Ed Stelmach, Ralph Klein, NHL hockey Player Jarett Stoll, Lyle Best, Ed Hervey, Edmonton Oilers President Patrick LaForge, Chief Justice Wachowich, MP Rahim Jaffer - and again the list continues.
One of the most valuable keys to the success I have had over the past few years are the solid business relationships I have formed with select Edmonton Design Firms and Alberta Marketing Agencies (please see in links) as well as Homemakers magazine, Canadian Living Magazine and the London Times in England. I have also forged solid relationships with many other marketing and communication firms in Canada and the US. These key relationships have allowed me to shoot for companies ranging from; Pattison Outdoor Advertising, The Palms Hotel in Las Vegas, Playboy, Homemakers Magazine, United Way, CNRail, Alberta Medical Association, CNRL, United Diamond, Tuboscope/NOV, Gateway Entertainment, Century Hospitality Group and Elizabeth Arden.
I have recently returned from Paris where I shot some commercial photo shoots for various clients. I also put in motion a plan to hone my skills further studying photography. Editorial Photography under Reuters Head photographer John Schults, Commercial Photography and Studio Photography Louis Vuitton photographer Zaklina Radovanovic and the art and history of photography under master photographer Pierre-Yves Mahé.
At the end of the day however I would like to say, I really consider myself privileged to be able to make my living taking pictures. I would like to thank everyone - unfortunately too many to mention in writing - for putting trust in my abilities and giving me the opportunities to expand my portfolios in all areas of photography.
Best regards,
