I was born in Western Canada - We call my mom "Mama Comeau" cause she's a hard ass- When my post secondary schooling was done I played hockey in Germany and took up photography - Mama Comeau wasn't happy - I was mentored by successful photographer who was real mean - In 2003 he got me the chance to photograph Hugh Heffner - I could never figure out why but that really launched my career in Canada.
I have shot a lot of travel in places like Egypt, Belize, China, France, Italy, Poland, Guatemala, England, Jamaica, Jordan, Thailand, Taiwan, on a lot of nice islands like Barbados, Bahamas, Antigua, a lot of US cities and in Acme Alberta - I've been told I'm not very fun to travel with.
I have done advertising work for agencies like Grey, McCann, Optamedia, Red The Agency and NAS- I have also shot for Nike Vision, McDonalds and 3M Innovation - I currently have a place in Vancouver and Edmonton - I would like to move to NY but working visas are really hard to get - My editorial work has been seen in Readers Digest, Lets Go, Sunday Times, and a few others - I've photographed some pretty cool people but by far my favorite subject is my daughter.
I like graphic novels (not comics but graphic novels) - I don't like sharks - I also collect comic art - I still play hockey - But I'm 32, and not as good as I used to be - It sucks - I'm really lucky to be making my living as a photographer - I still have a lot to learn and so much more to take pictures of.
Best regards,
